|| Biography ||

|Prior to Birth|

   --  Swansong, at the time Swanpaw, trained with Eagleclaw(paw). Eaglepaw was made a warrior a couple of moons after Swansong and during those couple of months he followed her around pining for her attention. While he may be arrogant now, as an apprentice he was just like any other love-struck tom. Swansong had multiple suitors, as she is a very lovely she-cat. Five moons after she became a warrior, during mid-Leaf-Fall, it was announced that she was pregnant, and Eagleclaw was the proud father. At the announcement the young tom puffed his chest and vowed to be better than his own father. He, unfortunately, has not. While he is not abusive as his own father was, he is not overly kind.

|Kitten|

   --  Jaystripe and her four siblings, Raventail, Finchcall, Quailfeather, and Dovepatch, were born in mid-Leaf-Bare. Swansong feared they would not survive the cold winter. Swansong is  a small she-cat, Jaystripe is not much bigger than her, and a litter of five was exhausting for her. The whole family not only survived the last brutal months, they thrived. The kits grew strong and soon proved to be quite the handful in the nursery. They were often told to go out to the clearing so the nursery would remain intact, which, of course, was exactly what they wanted. Their father was strict and often scolded them for their playfulness. He was harder on her brothers, Raventail and Finchcall.

|Apprentice|

   --  The five siblings became apprentices in early Green-Leaf. They trained hard. Her brothers fixated on battle, desperately trying to impress their father. Jaystripe, on the other paw, became a skilled hunter very quickly. Her mentor even taught her common herbs in case of emergency. She too tried very hard to impress her father, but it wasn't until the second to last moon of her training that she achieved this. On a solo hunting trip she defended her catch against a young fox. She came out of it unscathed. Rather than using battle techniques, she used hunting techniques. Stealth and cunning saved her and her catch. Her father had never heard of such a thing, but the evidence was there. Bits of fox fur scattered the ground where it had happened.

--  Jaystripe crept through the sparse brambles, keeping low and staying silent. She had no intention of returning home empty pawed. Her ears quivered as the rustling sounds of a hungry rabbit reached them. Extending her whiskers to catch the breeze she followed the scent through the crisp grass until she was within sight of it. She bunched her haunches and sprang, clearing the distance easily with her powerful legs. She landed square on the rabbit's shoulders and killed it with a swift bite to the base of the skull. A low growl sounded behind her, warm breath wreathed around her flanks. She spun around, coming face to face with a young fox. Its teeth snapped only a paw length in front of her face. Bolting over the flat ground she did every escape maneuver she could remember. Implementing the way a rabbit runs from its pursuer. Pain shot up her tail, she let out a loud yowl and spun around, claws slashing. With a massive paw the fox pinned her down. --
Jaystripe woke to her father's large paw prodding her awake. He told her she was yowling in her sleep. Shaking off the last of the fear of her dream she trotted out of the den.

Art of her family will be up soon. All siblings and her parents are available for adoption but MUST be used in this group if you are to adopt them. I haven't decided exactly how I'm going to decide who gets who, but I'll get there. I don't just want to give them to the highest bidder. I'd like them to go to reliable role-players.
